To the extent any part of the fees are for tax advice and planning,
subject to this portion exceeding 2% of AGI. E.g. see
http://www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_44019.asp .

Default Medicaid and estate planning

I am paying an attorney for advice about qualifying for Medicaid and the
COPES program in Washington state
(http://209.85.173.132/search?q=cache...ient=firefox-a)
and to draft financial powers of attorney, wills, health care directives for
my wife and me.

To what extent would these fees be deductible? Is there any specific
wording that the bill or receipt should contain?

Thanks
