| Can the SS-8 determination process be cancelled prior to a determination? Employer has threatened to fire me due to filing an SS-8. I realize there are laws and serious consequences to the employer with unfavorable determination by the IRS - not to mention breaking Whistleblower protection laws by firing an employee for filing an SS-8. My main question is can the process be cancelled (if I choose to) after the SS-8 form has already been filed (and before a determination is made)? -- << ------------------------------------------------------- > << The foregoing was not intended or written to be used, > << nor can it used, for the purpose of avoiding penalties > << that may be imposed upon the taxpayer. > << > << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting posts > << to this newsgroup as well as our anti-spamming policy > << are at www.asktax.org. > << Copyright (2007) - All rights reserved. > << ------------------------------------------------------- > |
