A taxpayer who files a tax return and then receives a tax form,
such as a Form 1099 or a Schedule K-1, can amend the tax return
by filing form 1040X. A state equivalent of form 1040X might
also be neeeded.

Default Income Reported on Form K-1

I'm executor of my father's estate. He died in 2007 and I filed the
decedent's last return last year. But now I need to file an estate tax
return on Form 1041 and K-1 forms for myself and two brothers reporting
about $3,000 of income I distributed in 2008 to each of us.

I have until April 15th to file the 1041 and K-1-- so how do they report
that 2008 income? They've already filed their 2008 returns?
