I tried it out by pasting the example lines into the blank input box, and it seemed to work. -- << ------------------------------------------------------- > << The foregoing was not intended or written to be used, > << nor can it used, for the purpose of avoiding penalties > << that may be imposed upon the taxpayer. > << > << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting posts > << to this newsgroup as well as our anti-spamming policy > << are at www.asktax.org. > << Copyright (2007) - All rights reserved. > << ------------------------------------------------------- > |

Broker's Excel file and rearrange (if niecessary) the columns in the (a) through (f) format of Schedule D1, total the long and short term items, and carry the totals to TaxCut's line 2 and 9 of ScheduleD. Call it a 1040 D-1, put on your name and SS# and attach a print-out them (long term and short term) to your Tax Cut return. Sorry, can't e-file this. There are programs available to do this for you, but it's so simple. ed -- << ------------------------------------------------------- > << The foregoing was not intended or written to be used, > << nor can it used, for the purpose of avoiding penalties > << that may be imposed upon the taxpayer. > << > << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting posts > << to this newsgroup as well as our anti-spamming policy > << are at www.asktax.org. > << Copyright (2007) - All rights reserved. > << ------------------------------------------------------- > |
