There is a Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT) Assistant for Individuals
calculator at the IRS site. The address is

http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/...150703,00.html

www.taxact.com has a free download of their standard program. I've used
TaxAct to handle many AMT returns.

If she made enough money to be in the AMT world, she is already paying so
much in taxes an additional $50 stealth tax should not be required.

If you made enough money to be in the AMT world, you should have more
than enough to pay $50 for a tax program that would help.

Default Question on AMT taxes - please help

Question on AMT taxes - please help

I have received an IRS notice re : filing out the AMT form for tax
year 2007.
They believe that I owe AMT taxes and that I should fill the form and
return it to them.

I find the form very complicated.

Is there a FREE online tax software/ service where I could enter the
info without revealing my identity and check to see if my manual
calculations are correct.

Thanks,

Miss Ava
