If there is a site listed near you, it's likely the volunteer
coordinator of that site would know if there's someone who would be able

recommend such a location is, they probably have gotten to know the
volunteers who work there, and can put you in touch with the site
coordinator. Even though it's off season, he would doubtless be willing
to give you some general advice and might know of a specific individual
with the background to assist you.

Other than that, you might check out EA's on line (Enrolled Agents) by
googling ... I know they have a national organization, and probably
offer some sort of referral service. Most qualified professionals will
be willing to meet with you to hear your problem, and either offer some
simple suggestions or certainly quote you a price for assisting you,
once they have details.

All the free tax preparation groups are set up during the season. The only
place left is the IRS walk-in centers where the free help may result in
higher taxes (their math sucks.....2 + 2 = 7....that kind of thing).

To find someone with a more modest fee, start calling around or start doing
it by hand.

Hi have a question on taxes that need to be done for last year.
I live in Pinellas Park, Florida...does any one know of some good free
assistance that I can get? Either that or a tax professional or
company that isn't too expensive. I need to pay the IRS enough as it
is and actually have paid some but still owe more.
