However, in my mail yesterday (4/12) was a return card for the other IRS mailing. This one was stamped received by IRS on 4/3 (just like the other one). So there is a slowdown somewhere along the line in getting the postcard delivered. WRT the electronic confirmation within USPS, it's at least 24 hours since the confirmation postcard reached my local post office so they are slow in getting the information into their database (unlike UPS or FedEx who gets it into their system within minutes of delivery). -- << ------------------------------------------------------- > << The foregoing was not intended or written to be used, > << nor can it used, for the purpose of avoiding penalties > << that may be imposed upon the taxpayer. > << > << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting posts > << to this newsgroup as well as our anti-spamming policy > << are at www.asktax.org. > << Copyright (2007) - All rights reserved. > << ------------------------------------------------------- > |

It could be normal, or not. Either way, you don't need to be worried. Your> on April 1st. The return postcards are just additional insurance. Just don't lose those receipts.
