Generally educational expenses incurred to be trained for a job in a
new field are not deductible. So the answer in this case is probably
no.

Besides, his travel expenses are for an interview for the school, not
the job.

But one may get paid in medical school. If that's the case, then
would the costs be deductible?

I don't believe they are talking about a job, but getting into school.

At the level they are at it's by interview they get accepted.

Why would it not be an unremibursed employee expense? Is this because
it's a first job?

But sometimes these costs are deductible. In that case, they get the
deduction as well as stick us with higher fees.

I don't see any of that as a deduction, or a qualified education expense
that might give rise to a deduction or credit.

This may be why, after graduation and an internship, you get to stick it to
us on the fees you get to charge for services.

Default Medical School visit and interview, deductable ??

Can one deduct costs associated with a school on campus interview, air
fair and lodging ?

Besides this I had to pay a 1500 fee in the interview process with my
application .

Can any of this be deducted ?

How about for my parents that went along?

I was 25 in 07 and thus not their dependent .

Started school 01/08
