It's free for most all business tax payments (941, 940, etc and so on), individual tax payments (1040ES, etc). - quote - > Reasons why I dont like efile: > 1) A fee over $54K AGI Who charges you? Use the government-run tax payment system:> the IRS coffers without having to efile, and discovered > "yes", but you have to pay a large fee. > One of the intermediate payment managers this year > will debit bank accounts to a 1040V and 1040ES > for a 2.49% commission. | I was wondering you could do a bill-pay directing into the IRS coffers without having to efile, and discovered "yes", but you have to pay a large fee. One of the intermediate payment managers this year will debit bank accounts to a 1040V and 1040ES for a 2.49% commission. I couldnt find the reciprocal of free direct deposit for refunds :-( Has anyone discovered any better way. Reasons why I dont like efile: 1) A fee over $54K AGI 2) Lots of personal financial data on the internet . The IRS has not yet compromised its tax info like British Tax Service did, but its just a matter of time. Reasons I like billpay: 1) No large checks floating about postal system for weeks. 2) Instant feedback. 3) Less financial numbrs than tax return. -- << ------------------------------------------------------- > << The foregoing was not intended or written to be used, > << nor can it used, for the purpose of avoiding penalties > << that may be imposed upon the taxpayer. > << > << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting posts > << to this newsgroup as well as our anti-spamming policy > << are at www.asktax.org. > << Copyright (2007) - All rights reserved. > << ------------------------------------------------------- > |
