| Deductible miles as registered volunteer/coach for registered on-profit youth hockey club? Hi folks, I just want to make sure I'm on the up-and-up. I am a volunteer and assistant coach for our local youth hockey club. We practiced 2 times a week and had 1 or 2 games a week. The club is registered as a non-profit (503c? Or something like that). Now, there is clearly a deductibility for non-profit miles. However, is the drive to the rink for practices and games as a registered volunteer coach considered a deductible expense at the 15 cents per mile presently listed as the amoutn for miles? Thanks, Gary -- << ------------------------------------------------------- > << The foregoing was not intended or written to be used, > << nor can it used, for the purpose of avoiding penalties > << that may be imposed upon the taxpayer. > << > << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting posts > << to this newsgroup as well as our anti-spamming policy > << are at www.asktax.org. > << Copyright (2007) - All rights reserved. > << ------------------------------------------------------- > |
