Given the differences in the Senate version, the whole thing might well explode. Or, might the Dems be attempting to force a veto? -- << ------------------------------------------------------- > << The foregoing was not intended or written to be used, > << nor can it used, for the purpose of avoiding penalties > << that may be imposed upon the taxpayer. > << > << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting posts > << to this newsgroup as well as our anti-spamming policy > << are at www.asktax.org. > << Copyright (2007) - All rights reserved. > << ------------------------------------------------------- > |

So, how will this be figured for a divorced couple when for tax year 2006 the non-custodial parent claims the children for tax purposes (child tax credit, et cetera - with signed 8332) and the custodial parent used the children to claim HH status and EIC? -- John D.
