Form 1040EZ cannot be used if you have dependent children. 1040A or
1040 would be more appropriate.

You should be looking for a good tax preparer for your 2007 return. This is
not a slam, but the irrelevant facts you include, the pertinent facts you
omit, and your "guess" about filing status all indicate to me that you're in
over your head.

If you want to pursue this on your own, get a copy of IRS Publication 17,
make a pot of coffee, and start reading.

Why? Usually, married filing jointly is better because of the tax
rates and the fact that you have more credits and so on.
