Default dependent

If a child has previously filed taxes on his own (not a dependent) but
is now eligible under the rules to be a dependent on his parents' return
again (now full time in an accredited college...was not before...all
other tests met) is there likely to be a problem (i.e. IRS inquiry) in
now again claiming the child as a dependent?
