No, it's not necessary. Just wait until you get the letter
from Oklahoma requesting a copy of your federal return
before they can process your state return. Send it in then.
Of course, this will delay any refund, or perhaps cause an
interest charge to occur if you have a balance due, but it's
your decision.

Using Tax Cut, When I printed out my state return
(Oklahoma) the instructions say to send a copy of the
federal return with it. Is this necessary?
