Under those circumstances, and provided that you do not intend to remain in Illinois indefinitely, you would be a nonresident of Illinois because you are there for a temporary purpose. Your IL income is your earnings in Illinois, plus any income from real or tangible personal property located in Illinois. Income from intangibles such as interest, dividends, etc. would not be Illinois source income.
