Buon Giorno!

Here in the US, there is a place for all of us, from
Deloitte, et al, even down to myself, a "sole practitioner".
We each have our niche in the economic scheme of things.

As for myself, like all sole practitioners, it is the
personal relationship with each client that is important. I
have clients who have been with me since the year 1975!
Each one gets personal attention and can call me any time of
the year with tax questions, and even financial questions,
especially regarding retirement plans.

But none need call me next August when I plan to tour Italy
for ten days. And if you happen to be in Milano, Firenza,
Venezia, Roma, or Civitivechhia, we can talk further!

Ciao!

and ChEAr$,

It's very much the same in the US.

The Big Ones are good for larger companies. Their fees are
often higher, and they they offer greater capacity and a
wider range of services than most solos.

There is definitely a role for inviduals and small
consulting companies. First some companies are unable or
unwilling to pay the higher fees of the Big Ones. Also, the
solos offer a more personal service and better attention to
smaller clients, who don't have to compete for attention
with others who pay much higher fees for more services.

Good luck.

Default Maybe OT but not so much

I'm an italian tax consultant (please, don't start joking) and
I'm interested in understanding which is the experience of
foreign "collegues".

Here in Italy the tax consultants operates almost in little
companies, consisting unary or few consultants. Maybe you
have heard that here the lawmaking is really muddle-headed
and always changing, and the relationship with the customer
is based on one-by-one relation.

In the last years the little tax companies suffered the
competitivity of the Big ones (Deloitte, Kpmg, etc..) and
the field is really changing.

The single consultant is still good, or maybe he has to
work in team?

In my opinion the added value of the single consultant is
always the surplus, and the future, here in Italy, can be
held by the single-one consultant.

There in US, that always think ahead and forestall EU,
which is the role of the single-consultant??

I suspect single-consultant means sole-practitioner.
