| My employer offers a plan where part of my salary goes into a medical reimbursement fund that's exempt from federal taxes. When we have a medical bill, we pay the portion we owe after insurance, then we submit what we paid to get reimbursed from the fund. I'm still paying what I owe out of my pocket, just with $$$ exempt from federal taxes. Are these expenses eligible to be deducted in Schedule A? thanks << ================================================== ===== > << The foregoing was not intended or written to be used, > << nor can it used, for the purpose of avoiding penalties > << that may be imposed upon the taxpayer. > << > << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting posts > << to this newsgroup as well as our anti-spamming policy > << are at www.asktax.org. > << Copyright (2006) - All rights reserved. > << ================================================== ===== > |
