Were the required minimum energy efficient items installed
in the house? Can't get the credit just for building a new
house.

That exact question came up on one of the IRS nationwide tax
forum phone calls, and the answer given was if the
contractor is a corporation, yes, the corp can qaualify for
the credit. Otherwise, no.

I believe it goes to the home buyer/home owner. If it's for
his personal residence, he can take the credit.
