| We have been in business since 2002 and have filed as S Corporation from the start. Our accountant (who is no longer our accountant) never told us that we were suppose to file Form 2553. We just filed our 2005 taxes and just got a letter from IRS saying that they were not able to locate our Form 2553. Can we get filing relief under Revenue Procedure 97-48? We qualify to be an S Corporation, we have always filed as S Corporation and we just got a letter from IRS after 4 years in business. Thank you in advance for your help << ================================================== ===== > << The foregoing was not intended or written to be used, > << nor can it used, for the purpose of avoiding penalties > << that may be imposed upon the taxpayer. > << > << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting posts > << to this newsgroup as well as our anti-spamming policy > << are at www.asktax.org. > << Copyright (2006) - All rights reserved. > << ================================================== ===== > |
