You would not be able to make a SIMPLE contribution, but the SEP is fine. | I maxed out my 401k contributions this year and then left my job to become an independent contractor. Can I also contribute to my SEP IRA this year or did my $15k in the 401(k) eliminate my ability to contribute to the SEP? Thanks! << ================================================== ===== > << The foregoing was not intended or written to be used, > << nor can it used, for the purpose of avoiding penalties > << that may be imposed upon the taxpayer. > << > << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting posts > << to this newsgroup as well as our anti-spamming policy > << are at www.asktax.org. > << Copyright (2006) - All rights reserved. > << ================================================== ===== > |
