In case you would like the US-China Tax Treaty directly from
the IRS website, it can be found here:

http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-trty/china.pdf

There is no tax treaty between the US and Hong Kong.

IRS Notice 97-40 states that the US will continue to
consider Hong Kong a separate country for tax purposes, even
after Hong Kong reverted to Chinese control. According to
the notice, the US-China tax treaty will therefore not apply
to Hong Kong.

Here's the income tax treaty between China and the US:
http://corporate.findlaw.com/industr...trty/china.pdf

I was unable to find a separate treaty for Hong Kong.

You might start by looking at IRS Pub 901, which covers tax
treaties with a number of countries. You can download a PDF
file at www.irs.gov

P.S. I don't think that Hong Kong is covered in the China-US
treaty.

Default Hong Kong Taxation

I am not sure if anyone here knows about this. Where can I
find out the tax treaty between China and US, and, Hong Kong
and US? We are thinking about setting up companies in
Hongkong but want to make sure we will not be double taxed.
I dont even know where to start the research. Any help would
be appreciated.
