Won't cost any more, at least I don't think it would. But wait one more day, and you incur additional state franchise fees etc. Example: when and if I ever retire, that's the way I'll do it. I will cease active business operations probably sometime in June but keep the corporation active rest of year just in case I get bored with retirement and change my mind. | I am dissolving an S-Corp as of September 30, 2006. The 1120-S Return is due Dec. 15. In order to deduct all payments on the final return: i.e. Payroll Taxes & my fees, I assume they must be paid by Sept 30th. This means my fees must be paid in advance. We also will have to file Amended Returns for the 2 prior years since some large assets were never recorded and depreciated. Again, I would have to be paid before September 30 even if we file the Amendeds later. Is my thinking correct? << ================================================== ===== > << The foregoing was not intended or written to be used, > << nor can it used, for the purpose of avoiding penalties > << that may be imposed upon the taxpayer. > << > << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting posts > << to this newsgroup as well as our anti-spamming policy > << are at www.asktax.org. > << Copyright (2006) - All rights reserved. > << ================================================== ===== > |
