I would suggest you get out form 2210 for 2005 (2006 won't
be available until January but is identical except for tax
and interest rates)and complete it for your 2006 income,
including the SE computations, and particularly including
its Schedule A, but DO NOT put in an estimate of your 2006
total taxes. Enter the withholding acually withheld in each
tax "quarter" instead of averaging withholding. Pay the
indicated amount for a September 15 installment, enter it
and after the end of the year complete the remainder of the
form and pay the indicated installment on January 15. You
can download the 1040-SE voucher (and the form 2210) from
the IRS website. There are form 2210 tax calculators
available on the web that have 2006 tax rates.

Default QUARTERLY TAX HELP

For the first two quarters of 2006 I worked for a company
and had taxes take out. For the third quarter I began to
work somwhere else where I have been 1099'd. I have never
paid quarterly taxes before and am not sure how to go about
paying them for the last two quarters. Can anyone help? In
the third quarter I will make abouy $10,000. I will not be
working all of the fourth quarter and only be 1099'd for
about $2500.
