Careful here. If you will qualify as a permanent resident
to file a Form 1040, then she can apply for and receive an
ITIN. But to do so she has to agree to report her worldwide
income on the 1040 and also to continue to report it from
now on. If this is just a one or two year thing, you might
not want to do this.

Default W7 form

Hi, I am Canadian citizen. I worked in USA with H1B in 2005.
My wife did not come to USA and does not have TIN.
I want to claim her as my dependent.
Since she did not come to USA, could she fill out the W7 form?
In W7, what would be the reason to submit the form?

Thank you
