If filed by the original filing deadline for tax year 2005,
how long should one wait before getting some kind of
response from the IRS (CAF/ form 2848)? This filing
included an attached non-IRS power of attorney
(non-specific-use), if that makes any difference.

Or, to put it another way: "If your representative has not
been assigned a CAF number, enter "None" on that line and
the IRS will issue one to him or her." -- but when?
