The trust is probably a New Mexico trust and the residence
of the trustee immaterial.

Default 1041 and overseas trustee..........

Contacted by a friend of a friend. He is trustee of a split
trust set up by his deceased father in 2000, half administered
by him and to be used when his step-mother runs out of income
from her half. He is an American citizen living in England.
The step-mother lives in New Mexico.

There's not a lot of income (few hundred a year as far as I can
see) but unforturnately, he didn't file anything at all........
I can handle the past Federal returns but does anyone know
whether or not he has to file something in England? If he
does, I'm up the proverbial creek........
