Oregon defines a resident as a person who is domiciled in> months a year, do I owe state income tax to Oregon? Oregon, or who maintains a permanent place of abode and spends more than 200 days of the taxable year in the state. Or. Rev. Stat. =A7 316.027(1)(a). You willl not be taxed as a resident as long as you do not go over the 200 days in a year. However, you will be subject to Oregon tax on any Oregon source income. That would include income from Oregon property (e.g., the rental or sale of your Oregon home), and any income from personal services you performed while you were in Oregon (e.g., telecommuting from your Oregon home).
