An employee of one of my clients came in all in a tizzy.
Apparently her husband does their return using some software
or another (at least it looked pretty) and they mail it in.
She declared that her husband had screwed up everything and
they were in trouble. I looked over the return and it
seemed to be in order and told her I didn't see any obvious
errors. She waived the W-2 around in the air saying "Look,
look, look!!!!" I still didn't see any problems, until that
is, she pointed out that he didn't attach the "Copy B" to
the federal return (that was what she was holding) and that
the *wrong* W-2 was sent to the IRS, and "how much trouble
will they be in?".

After a not too large chuckle, I explained that the same
information is on all the copies and not to worry.

After she left I wondered..............

How much could I have charged to fix that problem?
