For the poster,

Just call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040, they can look it up and
verbally give you the dates and amounts of your payments.

Vic,

Here is the link for the efile:

How does one register with the IRS for on-line access to
one's account? I couldn't find anything at www.irs.gov when
I searched for "register on line access".

You can? I didn't know that, even though I'm one of the
pioneers of eServices (for pros of course) Anyway, is this
service part of the EFTS? Or some other program?

You can file Form 4506-T w/ the IRS and they'll send you a
transcript of your account. You can register w/ the IRS for
on-line access to your account also. You can search the
www.irs.gov site for how to do this.

You have no checkbook? Call the bank for a copy of your
checks for 2005. Didn't you make a note on the envelope of
the 1040 ES they sent you?, or ,let alone, the sheet they
supplied to record your payments? Hey, this is not rocket
science, just THINK.

If all else fails the IRS wil tell you, but why would you
need them?

Default Can IRS tell me whether I made estimated tax payments (access to IRS records)?

I've been making est. tax payments for 21 years. Through a
combination of accidents, I don't have a record of my est.
tax payments for 2005. Can the IRS tell me how much I paid
for 2005? Is there a number to call? I have eftps and will
be checking that tomorrow, but I'm wondering if one can
simply call IRS and ask? Thanks.
