Default Re: Location for Filing Form 2555 ? Phily or local ?

Thanks for the input. After much reading and confusion (for
me anyway) ... previous years 2555 were sent to
Philadelphia. However this year, it is Austin Tx.

It depends on whether you owe anything or not. I only have
the addresses for returns prepared by professionals; the
addresses for individuals are different. For 2005, though,
I believe the returns are sent to either Austin Service
Center or a lockbox in Dallas.

You can look up the addresses on the IRS website irs.gov
under the heading "Where to File."

Default Location for Filing Form 2555 ? Phily or local ?

Does anyone know offhand where one would file taxes that
would include form 2555 (Foreign Income Exclusion)? I have
been digging for about 3 hours and I believe that they need
to be sent to Philadelphia, but I cannot find anything to
support that in the 2555 IRS Instructions for the 2005 Tax
year.

I know it has been to phily for the past years ... just
can't find anything to support that for this tax season and
I have been all over the IRS.gov site.

Thanks
A
