IT-203. The form is used by both part-year residents and bynon-residents. It has places to enter both your NY sourced non-resident income (Jan thru April) and your NY resident income (May thru Dec). -- Don EA in Upstate NY << ================================================== ===== > << The foregoing is intended for educational purposes only > << and does NOT constitute legal OR professional advice. > << > << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org. > << Copyright (2006) - All rights reserved. > << ================================================== ===== > |

| I was in NJ from Jan to Apr'05 and moved to NY state after that. I worked for whole year in NY state. In both the states my residence was domicile and my permanent place of abode. I had no other place at any other location. Questn 1) Would I be considered full time resident or part time resident of NY state. Questn 2) What NY state form do I use ? I have figured out that I am a part-year Resident of NJ for tax purposes. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! << ================================================== ===== > << The foregoing is intended for educational purposes only > << and does NOT constitute legal OR professional advice. > << > << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org. > << Copyright (2006) - All rights reserved. > << ================================================== ===== > |
