Part year.

IT-203. The form is used by both part-year residents and by
non-residents. It has places to enter both your NY sourced
non-resident income (Jan thru April) and your NY resident
income (May thru Dec).

Default question about NY state resident status for NY state tax purpose

I was in NJ from Jan to Apr'05 and moved to NY state after
that. I worked for whole year in NY state. In both the
states my residence was domicile and my permanent place of
abode. I had no other place at any other location.

Questn 1) Would I be considered full time resident or part
time resident of NY state.

Questn 2) What NY state form do I use ?

I have figured out that I am a part-year Resident of NJ for
tax purposes.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!
