My only problem was keeping my cool upon encountering the sales pitch to upgrade (e.g. pay) that appeared on seemingly every page. I am, however, happy with the result -- except that the dratted thing said that I owed money. << ================================================== ===== > << The foregoing is intended for educational purposes only > << and does NOT constitute legal OR professional advice. > << > << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org. > << Copyright (2006) - All rights reserved. > << ================================================== ===== > |

There is a Yahoo Group for unofficial TaxAct support. Go to> into some problems right away: > 1. Also, e-mail questions sent to TaxAct support: support[at]taxact.com are usually answered within one day - at least for the download version. I have not used the on-line version. -- Vic Roberts Replace xxx with vdr in e-mail address.

Your problem may be that you do not "save and log out." If you do not, you will lose the unsaved data. 2. The software adds a new W-2 by default. There should be a delete button below which should take it off, I think. I know if you want to take off one of your created W-2s, the delete button does work. Hopefully, this should help.

| I tried using TaxAct's online Deluxe+State version but I ran into some problems right away: 1. If I wanted to check or correct something I couldn't go back to the previous page - all fields were empty(!). I had to start from the beginning to get back to where I was. 2. An additional (new) W2 was added by the software. I couldn't delete this. Is this normal? If so, this is not good... I was considering downloading the software instead of using the online version, but what I see so far is not encouraging.
