| I have Joint 50-50 custody ( legal and physical) with my ex for our 2 kids. As per the Marriage Settlement we are to claim one child each for tax return. Now my question is: Does this mean - In my tax return, do I just put the one child as dependent , and have absolutely no trace ( no mention whatsoever) of my other child ( who my ex will be claiming as dependent )?? Thanks in advance... << ================================================== ===== > << The foregoing is intended for educational purposes only > << and does NOT constitute legal OR professional advice. > << > << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org. > << Copyright (2006) - All rights reserved. > << ================================================== ===== > |
