As an aside, depending upon how much you made in Hawaii, you may have to file a nonresident Hawaii state tax return. CA will allow a tax credit for income taxes paid to Hawaii on the same income taxed by CA. However, the credit can not exceed the amount of tax owed to CA. CA will give you a credit against your CA liability for taxes paid to other states. << ================================================== ===== > << The foregoing is intended for educational purposes only > << and does NOT constitute legal OR professional advice. > << > << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org. > << Copyright (2006) - All rights reserved. > << ================================================== ===== > |
