The AMT capital loss carryover can be different than the
capital loss carryover for regular tax.

Default capital loss carryover AMT

Is there any reason that my tax program included a $3,000
capital loss carryover as an addback to AMT Form 6251, Line
16 Disposition of Property?. The carryforward loss is from
ordinary sales of shares of stock in 2002. I do not see any
reason for this addback, unless it did not pick up the loss
as an AMT loss, for some reason, and there should have been
a manual correction made.
