Unless someone has withheld taxes, or you have paid in
estimated taxes yourself, there is nothing in the kitty to
get back.

Sorry. Interest qualifies as a _deduction_ only, from
taxable income. Since you have none, it would be
meaningless.

I am a totally & perminately disabled veteran, therefore my
income is not taxable, however, over the past year, I've
paid over $20,000 in interest on my homestead... can I file
to get some back??
