Default Re: 401K and 403b

Even you you max-out a 401K (or similar) plan, the
retirement investment industry mentions a number of
"tax-advantaged" alternatives such as index funds, municipal
funds, and newer "cheap" annuities.

Some advisors (Ms. Ozman the most prominent) recommend not
putting one retirement savings all in the same savings
instrument because of shifting tax laws. Her concern is
that tax rates are relatively low now what they might be
20,30,40 years down the line, so withdrawals may taxed
HIGHER then than one would avoid now. Another shifting tax
is the recently passed deficit-reduction bill that raises
medicare premiums 300% for "well-off" seniors. A high 401K
balance puts some seniors into this new category, especially
a few decades down the road. So their advice is you should
still save as much as you can, and save ina tax-advantaged
way, but dont put it all in the same place.

Default 401K and 403b

I have 2 jobs:
- one job offers a 401(k) plan, maximun $14000
- the other job offers a 403(b) and a 457 plan,
maximun $14000

Is there any way to combine different programs to invest
more than 14K altogether?

Thanks.
