Default Re: E-Filing vs. Papaer Filing and Chances of Audit

E-filing catches - fast - errors in Social Security numbers,
employer ID numbers, kids claimed by more than one person.
It does not, in my experience, increase audits. Paper filing
usually catches the same errors but not as fast and not as
thoroughly in my experience. E filing is normally done by
computer programs which seldom make math errors. Paper filing
usualy uses the old adding machine and - as I remember sadly -
the taxpayer can add instead of subtract, mash numbers, etc,
etc......

Default E-Filing vs. Papaer Filing and Chances of Audit

I also read somewhere that E-Filing (vs. Paper Filing)
increases the chances of an audit since 100% of all data in
the return are entered into the computer system. Is there
any validity to this argument?

Thanks!
