The good news is that ALL 64 World Cup games will be broadcast
by ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. The better news is that all will
be simulcast in high definition -- as have been past Final Fours
and MLB post seasons. So, get thee to the TV store.

That is great news. This will be a great 31 days - June 9th
to July 9th. Since it will be played in Germany, I should
brew some German beer, but I prefer Scotch and Belgian beers.
So I'll brew 10 gallons of Strong Scotch Ale - taste like
McEwans's with about 7% ABV - and I'll buy some Chimay Grande
Reserve (the Blue bottle) for the final game. No mead because
I want to stay awake.

My teams will be USA, England, Argentina, Brazil, Spain and
whomever is playing France, Germany, or a team with a dookie
on it. LOL

Default Possible Outages in March

My next orthopedic surgery is scheduled for Friday, March
3rd at some outrageously early hour. Hospital release is
late Saturday morning. I will post on Thursday evening
and on Saturday afternoon.

My next religious holy days of obligations are from March
9th through March 12th. I will post the newsgroup
between services. (See postscript).

Depending on the opinion of my orthopedic butcher, I may
finally go to my trip to OZ (Australia) in late March. The
flight is about 22 hours. Once there and once back, there
should be no problem posting the newsgroup. It's only in
Ocean City, Maryland and Chicago that I have problems.

P.S.: My religious holy days of obligation in 2006 are the
ACC Tournament (My blood runs Carolina Blue) and the
Major League Baseball Post-Season. I am considering
including the FIFA Cup this year - if Comcast does not
try to rip me off on the charges!
