Default Re: Loan discount points not in 1098 -- amend return???

Waste of time to file 1040X - yours and the IRS.

Default Loan discount points not in 1098 -- amend return???

The discount points show up on the closing escrow statement.
However, I forgot this small detail when preparing my taxes
using TurboTax on the web -- so I counted the points as if
it were reported in box 2 of 1098. So the points were
included in line 10 of schedule A instead of line 12. Do I
need to amend my return, even though I think there should be
no difference in my refund amount?

Thanks.
