By how much do you need to lower your AGI?

Yes, as I said, 82K + some odd dollars.

So is there anything I can do?

Default Michigan Homestead Property Tax Credit

I have a problem that I'm hoping there's a way to getting
around:

In MI, we have a property tax credit for those who AGI is
less than $82,000. I'm right on that bubble. ($78000)

I get paid monthly So in 2004, the company I work for, in
an attempt to either slide their costs, or trick investors,
moved our pay from the last day of the month, to the first
day of the next month. What this did for my W2 is
officially reduce my pay by 1 month for 2004.

So now, in 2005, the company reversed that decision, and
moved our pay back to the last day of the month. What this
did, was raise my official W2 pay by 1 month for 2005. The
problem is, this put me over the $82k (it's 82,000 and some
odd dollars) limit for the property tax credit.

Anything I can do about this at this stage? It didn't even
occur to me that they might change the pay back to the last
day of the month, so I didn't look into what could be
done... My pay rate didn't change in 2005 at all, but I'm
getting boned because I can't take this property tax credit.
