I seem to recall that it takes several hours of "training"
AND you have to use the microphone provided with the
software for best results.

A friend used to use it for creating legal documents. He
loved it. At least it was hard to get him to stop talking
about it.

Try Dragons "Naturally Speaking" software. It types as you
speak into a microphone. I tried it a few years ago and it
was Ok but its supposed to be better now.

If your fingers work, the Kinesis keyboard is really good.
(Though you might have to be able to touch-type to use it well.)
(No arm or wrist movement, and you can use foot pedals for shift
and control.)

Default Life as a one armed man

I really wish I could two or three times a day as we begin
tax season. Too bad I don't have aa left-handed keyboard
(if there is such a thing). Too bad I never learned to
touch type (but I'm one of the fastest hunt-n-peckers around.

Figure on my right arm being functional in two weeks.
