You can change from married filing jointly to married filing separately at any time, up to the due date for the return. | To begin with, let me give you my background, I am an engineer, not an accountant or Tax specialist. I want to amend my 2004 tax return, but don't know if it is possible to amend my taxes to change them from married filing jointly to married filing separately. I would appreciate any help in letting me first know if it is possible, and second how best to do this. << ================================================== ===== > << The foregoing is intended for educational purposes only > << and does NOT constitute legal OR professional advice. > << > << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org. > << Copyright (2006) - All rights reserved. > << ================================================== ===== > |
