| I hope someone can help me with this: My wife and I are both performers. We did a lot of travelling in 2005 together to do gigs and/or auditions. From my understanding we each are our OWN business. So we each have to file a Schedule C for our BUSINESS which is singing even though we file jointly. This worked out just fine last year (2004 Tax Year), but we didn't have any shared expenses at that time. So my question is this: We share hotel rooms, rental cars, meals and it all comes out of our joint bank account. On who's Schedule C do we show the expense? Do we just pick one? Or do we split it evenly? We have all reciepts, but I can't figure out what to do on this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
