Both.

Both. There are legal issues beyond tax law that the
attorney can help with and the attorney will probably
not have as much expertise in tax taw as a CPA or EA.

I'd talk first to the CPA or EA who will prepare your taxes.
An LLC may not be the best form of business for you - a C
or an S corporation may be better in your specific situation,
for example. That person is in the best position to answer
most of the financial questions.

The attorney can set up the appropriate type of business form
after you determine what that is. He can also answer
questions concerning things like liability protection and the
bureaucrachy to maintain each type of business entity.

At some point it might be helpful to have a meeting with both
the tax professional and the attorney at the same time.

Default Opening LLC for Import & Export Business...

Hi

I am planning to open an import and export business. I
am thinking of opening an LLC. But before I open the
company I would like to consult with an Attorney or CPA.

I have question in this regard. Usually who should I
consult? Should I consult with an Attorney or certified
tax consultant?

Thanks
