Just call it professional dues under the Misc. category on
the back of the Schedule C.

Schedule C, listed as an "Other Expense" item, Part V, which
flows to Line 27.

If you are a sole proprietor, create a line on page 2 of Schedule C
"Profit or Loss from Business".

Default Membership dues deduction as a Sole Proprietor

For federal income taxes, I'd like to deduct the membership
dues I pay as a real estate agent.

I'm not an employee, and the dues are for organizations
that are professional organizations, which are not organized
for entertainment.

For the life of me, I can't find out where, on which line
of which form, do I claim this deduction.

Does anyone know? Thank you so much for your help!
