This sounds like a personal expense to me. Even if you were
taking driving lessons to gain a commercial drivers license,
you would be qualifying for a new trade or business. Now, if
you already had a job that required you to drive and your
employer wanted you to take advanced lessons as a condition of
continued employment, they would be deductible as an employee
business expense.

Unfortunately, you would have to be able to itemize deductions
to take this and it must exceed 2% of your AGI. Most likely,
no benefit.

Default Driving Lessons Tax deductible?

I have just graduated from college in the East Coast and
moved to public transport unfriendly California for my job.
I would like to know if it is to claim driving school fees
tax deductible?

many thanks in advance!

I googled and found some material on this but I am not sure
if this applies for my case:
