| To the query, do I really want this client, I reply: Yes, I most certainly do. Especially when it is a someone who has been living in fear of the spouse who, after years, is finally in jail. Especially when it is someone who has been judged guilty until proven innocent because she "didn't respond sooner." I am very surprised by the moderator reply. It is an answer I would expect from a suspicious, pessimistic Revenue Officer; it is not the reply I would expect of someone who has supposedly taken on the call to represent the rights of American citizens with an open and honest belief in the protection of our rights, such as 'innocent until proven guilty.' I am very proud to be an advocate and a tax professional when it means putting those would be last, first. -Shannon Moderator: My question was based on the client's refusal to sign documents for you. << ================================================== ===== > << The foregoing is intended for educational purposes only > << and does NOT constitute legal OR professional advice. > << > << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org. > << Copyright (2005) - All rights reserved. > << ================================================== ===== > |

| Hey folks, here's a question for the other tax pros out there. Client protests signing neither Form 900 waiver for years 91,93, and 95 for original returns for tax years 1996 and 1997. I could use 4506 to order copies of the original returns (and the user fee involved, ick), but I'm wondering if I could combine the request to the disclosure office. Can the formal request for copy of documents include both the Form 900 and the returns, or is it better advised to send two separate requests? Lastly, has it been your experience that this request should be made through FOIA (which also involves user fees, ick) thanks in advance -shannon MODERATOR: Do you really want this client? << ================================================== ===== > << The foregoing is intended for educational purposes only > << and does NOT constitute legal OR professional advice. > << > << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org. > << Copyright (2005) - All rights reserved. > << ================================================== ===== > |
