It's on it's way, Carol. And for the edification of any others
reading this, it's not an actual proposed tax bill, yet; rather
it is entitled "Options to Improve Tax Compliance and Reform
Tax Expenditures" and was prepared by the staff of the Joint
Committee on Taxation January 27,2005.

Hush now; people might get the idea that all us down South
are kin! (However I have met a lot of cousins on the net
over the years.)

Since we're an S corp, my boss is an S corp and we have a
ton of clients who are, that's something we need to learn a
bit more about.

BTW, I saw your former classmate--my cousin--a couple of
weeks ago. Forgot to tell him I had "met" you.

Not kidding. In fact I have a copy of it somewhere if you
want to see it.

We had had rain continuously for about ten days through last
Sunday, but since last Monday, not a drop. Weather's sort
of like tax clients, just can't predict when they'll show
up sometimes.

Part of one bill right now is the proposal to change the way
S corp's profits are taxed, i.e. making them subject to SE
tax! (shudderrrrrr!!!!!!)

You're safe. It's a non-election year.

I believe Mark Twain wrote something like "No man's life,
liberty, or property is safe while Congress is in session."

At this moment it appears that we will be moving home to
North Carolina sometime in August. There will obviously
be an outage at that time. So expect Congress to change
some tax laws at that time.
