Well in NC the strange ones are kin

(Note the "r" was intentionally left off the word strange).

Just remember to bring your umbrella and sweater. We were having
beautiful weather and then just had two days of rain this week. Now
it's beautiful again, but who knows next week. This has been the
wettest June in almost 40 years and it's only the 10th of the month.
(We've had 0.77 inches of rain so far this month - wooo hooo! - so I'm
on the look out for an Ark!)

To paraphrase Mark Twain, the coldest winter I ever spent was a summer
in San Francisco.

The fact that it's got more lawyers per capita than any
place in the world other than DC must be noted, however.

and the largest Chinatown in the United States. A stroll of
the City's streets can lead from Union Square to North Beach
to Fisherman's Wharf, with intriguing neighborhoods to
explore at every turn.
